An opportunity has come up that we are seeking a motivated Sales Executive to join and strengthen our brand partnerships.
Position OverviewThe Sales Executive is responsible for driving B2B wholesale sales performance across assigned brands and retail accounts. This role blends account management, product presentation, sales analytics, and forward-looking forecasting, with a strong emphasis on identifying future style opportunities and supporting commercial sales decisions through data and market insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sales for assigned licensed brands and wholesale retail accounts
- Deliver seasonal product presentations at retailer corporate offices and trade shows
- Analyze weekly sales trends, sell-through, and account performance
- Prepare monthly sales projections and forecasts by account, with insight into future style performance
- Develop and recommend seasonal product assortments informed by analytics, market demand, and selling trends
- Identify future style opportunities based on historical sales data, market trends, and customer feedback
- Create special make-ups (SMUs) when required to meet account or market needs
- Track and manage sales samples, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers
- Secure purchase orders in accordance with established deadlines
- Partner closely with the BBC Sales Support Department to confirm purchase orders and provide updates throughout the production process
- Prepare monthly sales recaps and performance summaries for BBC management
- Make data-driven product and sales recommendations to retail partners
- Manage markdown dollar requests, preparing supporting analytics and rationale for management review
- Review competitor activity and broader market trends to benchmark performance and inform future selling strategies
- Travel to retail partners, trade shows, and BBC offices (approximately 30% travel)
- Store and manage up to 200 pairs of footwear samples during the selling season (if not located in NYC)
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Senior VP of Domestic Sales and National Sales Director
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales within retail or footwear is required
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and forecast future performance
- Demonstrated business acumen and negotiation skills
- Results-oriented, motivated, resilient, and adaptable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Proactive problem-solver who demonstrates initiative
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly
- Lift and transport sample bags weighing up to 50 lbs
