If you already have Fastener/Hardware distribution experience it will put you on a fast track to being selected for one of our openings. We look favorably on candidates that have proficient computer skills along with experience using Microsoft Office programs like Excel and Word. We utilize an ERP system named ERP One+ provided by Distribution One/Advantive.
- Monitor customer requirements through MRP or similar activity. Analysis of MRP data is used to place order requirements with Purchasing to ensure timely delivery of needed products to our customers.
- Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions. Initiate blueprint reviews to support this activity.
- Where applicable recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
- Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery.
- Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed. This also includes processing vendor receipts and packing lists.
- Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
- Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard company procedures.
- Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items.
- Proactively recommend additional items/product lines to customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
- Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction.
- Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
- Fill requests for information or samples.
- Setup and maintain customer files.
- Although this is an inside position some travel is required to visit customers as needed. All expenses for this type of travel are paid by the company.
- Knowledge of fastener industry is a required! We have an immediate need for a person that has true fastener experience.
Pay: From $62,000.00 per year. Salary will be commensurate with ability and experience.

We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative that has knowledge of and experience in the fastener and hardware industry. Fastener/Hardware distribution experience is required. The inside sales representative will work cooperatively with the VP of Sales and other members of the Sales and Management teams to grow existing customers, create new customers and work to increase customer satisfaction.
