To qualify for this TEMP role, you will need to meet the MUST-HAVE qualifications listed below in the job details.
About the Role
We are seeking a Corporate Safety Program Manager to support enterprise-wide EHS initiatives during a temporary leave coverage. This role operates at the corporate/parent-company level, focusing on standardizing, refining, and coordinating safety programs across multiple manufacturing and industrial sites.
This is an in-office, program-driven role ideal for a safety professional who excels in policy development, compliance, training, and cross-functional coordination, rather than hands-on site execution. All programs are developed collaboratively and implemented through a formal approval process.
What Youll Do
- Develop, revise, and standardize corporate safety policies and procedures for enterprise-wide use
- Rework and complete partially developed safety programs to align with regulatory and operational requirements
- Manage a corporate safety and communications calendar, delivering content across business units
- Build and support a company-wide ergonomics program in partnership with third-party providers and internal medical teams
- Analyze safety performance data, audit results, and trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Support and participate in internal EHS audits and inspections
- Develop and coordinate safety training programs for employees, contractors, and onsite partners
- Monitor regulatory changes (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry best practices to support program alignment
- Collaborate with leadership, operations, HR, legal, and risk management teams
- Assist with coordination of programs such as machine guarding, combustible dust, and industrial hygiene
Who This Role Is Best For
This role is well suited for corporate EHS professionals who:
- Enjoy program ownership and documentation
- Are comfortable working through approvals rather than making site-level decisions
- Prefer policy, training, and standards over day-to-day site enforcement
- Thrive in structured, multi-site environments
MUST HAVE Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in occupational health and safety within industrial or manufacturing environments
- Proven experience developing, revising, and implementing safety programs
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
- Excellent written communication skills (policies, procedures, training materials)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Comfortable working in a corporate, approval-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety data systems
NICE-to-HAVE Qualifications
- Safety Engineering background or coursework
- Experience supporting multi-site or enterprise-level EHS programs
- Prior exposure to ergonomics programs, industrial hygiene, or machine guarding initiatives
- Experience partnering with third-party vendors or medical providers
- Corporate audit or internal compliance program experience
