Reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor, the Trimmer is responsible for trimming, flaming, finishing plastic parts and sorting/counting order qauntities.
1st Shift Hours (6am - 2pm, Monday - Friday)

Responsibilities:
- Trim excess plastic from parting lines.
- Inspect product and communicate findings back to the machine operators.
- Assemble product in accordance with the specific work instructions.
- Data entry and basic computer functions.
- Select correct hand tooling for the job task with setup documents or supervisor/lead assistance.
- Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.
- Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system.
- Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance.
- Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues.
- Maintain performance log books on assigned area equipment, report deficiencies to the maintenance team.
- Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A High School diploma or GED Equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience working within a highly technical environment.
- Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, twist, and transport product and materials short distances.
- Basic understanding of computers and ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job.
- Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a team-environment.
- Ability to work safely and without injury with hand tools in an environment with metal and sharp objects.
- Must have strong metal grinding, forming and basic fabrication background.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure online manuals.
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self motivation skills and ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.
- Demonstrated competency in basic shop math.
- Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
- Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
- Previous experience with overhead crane use is desired.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
- Work in an efficient and timely manner.
- Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently.
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self motivation skills and ability to multi-task.
