About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer with experience in robotics and autonomous systems. This role focuses on developing and testing software in a Linux environment, primarily using Python. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, implement, and test software solutions that support robotics applications.

Required Qualifications (must-have skills)

Must-Have Skills
  • Robotics experience (autonomous robotics preferred)
  • Python programming
  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related engineering field

Technical Skills
  • Hands-on experience with robotics (autonomous robotics preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Python development
  • Experience developing software in a Linux environment
  • Experience designing and implementing software packages/modules
  • Experience writing unit tests and integration tests (CI/CD experience preferred)
  • Experience converting data between formats (e.g., JSON to XML)
  • Experience using Git for version control
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to break down requirements into design, development, and testing tasks
  • Ability to review code and documentation and provide constructive feedback

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Controls, Aerospace),
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing software in C++ in a Linux environment
  • Strong knowledge of robotics and autonomous systems architectures and algorithms
  • Experience reviewing research papers and prototyping algorithms in software
  • Experience designing or architecting software systems, including:
  • Defining module interfaces
  • Selecting architectural patterns
  • Choosing appropriate languages and libraries
  • Experience evaluating tools and technical approaches and recommending solutions
  • Experience creating technical documentation such as:
  • Interface Control Documents (ICD)
  • Software Architecture Design Documents
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
