Travel RN – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Hartford, CT
Duration: 13 Weeks (Strong Potential for Extension)
Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts | 36 or 48 Hours per Week
Shifts Available: Days & Nights

Compensation Overview

Local Contract (W2)

  • 36 Hours/Week: $57.00/hr – $2,052/week
  • 48 Hours/Week: $57.00/hr – Up to $2,964/week (OT after 40 hrs)

Travel Package (36 Hours/Week) – $2,394/week

  • Hourly Equivalent: $66.50/hr (Blended Rate)
  • Weekly W2 Taxable: $868.00
  • Weekly Stipend (Per Diem): $1,526.00
    • Tax-free stipends for qualified travelers

Travel Package (48 Hours/Week) – Up to $3,330.92/week

  • Regular Pay (40 hrs @ $34.71): $1,388.40
  • Overtime (8 hrs @ $52.06): $416.48
  • Total W2 Pay: $1,804.92
  • Weekly Stipend: $1,526.00
  • Total Weekly Compensation:$3,330.92

Role Responsibilities:

As a Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN, you will:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, reviewing medical history, diagnostics, and treatment plans.
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, oxygen saturation, and telemetry data with precision.
  • Interpret and document findings from advanced monitoring equipment.
  • Administer medications and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with clinical standards.
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, recovery expectations, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Identify and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition.
  • Support and guide Telemetry Unit staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and post-hospital care instructions.
