Description RN Childbirth Educator for our Maternal Services program at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, CA. This position is Per-Diem and will work variable shifts based on education needs of our patients. Under the direction of the Manager of Outpatient Perinatal Services, the Childbirth Educator provides information to expectant parents and their families regarding the labor and delivery process, and role adjustments in the family after birth, including other children and grandparents. Other educational classes taught by the RN Perinatal Educator include topics on safety, healthy environment with a focus on prevention measures. California Registered Nurse License upon hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. Certified Childbirth Educator upon hire.
