Key Responsibilities
Insurance Program Management
• Co-manages the administration and day-to-day operations of the UF Health Corporation Property and Casualty Insurance Program for UF Health Corporation and its affiliates, excluding hospital and physician professional liability coverage.
• Participates in determining appropriate insurance coverage lines, limits, and program structure to address organizational risk exposures.
• Coordinates insurance-related matters with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate coverage and compliance with insurance requirements.
• Oversees the issuance, tracking, and management of certificates of insurance and related documentation.
• Coordinates insurance policy administration activities, including monitoring policy documentation and facilitating timely premium payments.
• Evaluates and maintains insurable property values and related insurance schedules in coordination with organizational stakeholders.
• Prepares, compiles, and submits insurance renewal applications and supporting documentation and participates within renewal strategy discussions in coordination with organizational stakeholders.
Enterprise Risk Management
• Coordinates efforts to identify, evaluate, and monitor property and casualty risk exposures across UF Health Corporation and its affiliated entities.
• Participates in the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies and loss control measures related to corporate operations, facilities, and physical assets.
• Conducts risk assessments and analysis to support enterprise risk management initiatives and organizational decision-making.
• Collaborates with the Director of Operations to advance enterprise risk management initiatives and implement risk management best practices across the organization.
Claims Management
• Coordinates the administration and coordination of property and casualty claims for UF Health Corporation and its affiliates.
• Investigates and analyzes incidents that may result in property or casualty claims and ensures appropriate documentation and reporting.
• Coordinates with insurance carriers, brokers, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective claims handling and resolution.
• Monitors and evaluates claims activity, trends, and outcomes to support risk mitigation strategies and organizational reporting requirements.
• Prepares and provides claims reports, summaries, and analytical data to leadership and insurers as needed.
Data & Financial Management
• Administers and maintains electronic records systems related to risk management and insurance activities within the Legal Services department.
• Assists with preparation, monitoring, and analysis of risk management and insurance program budgets.
• Supports financial processing, reconciliation, and variance analysis related to insurance premiums, claims, and related expenses.
• Collaborates with the Director of Operations to support oversight and functionality of the drivers’ license verification system used for driver eligibility tracking and compliance.
• Maintains risk management records, data integrity, and reporting within departmental systems and databases.
