Job Overview
The Risk Analyst will support the development and execution of Data Quality Control Testing for Risk and Compliance as part of the Enterprise Data Management Office (EDMO) Standard Deliverables program. This role focuses on Tier 1 Critical Data Elements, ensuring data risk controls meet enterprise standards across Canada and the U.S. The position requires strong independence, stakeholder collaboration, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Support the Pod Lead in developing Data Control Gap Assessment and Testing processes aligned with Tier 1 accountabilities.
• Independently lead and execute gap assessments, testing activities, documentation, reporting, and cross-pod integration.
• Apply EDMO procedures, enterprise data management requirements, and data risk control practices.
• Interpret standards, guidelines, and analytical findings to support informed decision-making.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Data Risk Management requirements, including coaching stakeholders as needed.
• Execute complex, non-standard requests and deliver advanced analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with business, technology, governance, and compliance partners.
• Proactively identify, escalate, and support resolution of data quality and control issues.

Required (Must-Have)
• Proven ability to work independently and communicate effectively with audiences of varying data expertise.
• Strong familiarity with data governance frameworks and principles.
• Ability to balance quality, accuracy, and delivery against tight timelines.
• Intermediate to expert proficiency with MS 365 tools (Excel, Visio, Access, Power BI, Copilot).
• Undergraduate degree, technical certification, or 7+ years of relevant experience in a challenge function (e.g., 1B testing, Data Governance, Risk Oversight), ideally in financial services.
• Strong familiarity with data governance frameworks and principles.
