Job Title: RHEL & Windows System Administrator
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and support RHEL and Windows server environments

  • Manage user accounts, access controls, and security groups

  • Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability

  • Perform system installations, relocations, maintenance, and upgrades

  • Troubleshoot communication and system-related issues

  • Support data transfers across local, state, and federal systems

  • Assist in procurement, inventory, and lifecycle management of IT assets

  • Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and system manuals

  • Provide technical support for applications and hardware issues

  • Prepare reports, system evaluations, and performance metrics

  • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory standards

  • Conduct training sessions and provide technical guidance to users

  • Assist in system design, development, and enhancements

  • May supervise or guide junior team members

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with RHEL (5/6/7/8/9) and Windows Server (2008–2022)

  • Expertise in Linux and Windows system administration

  • Advanced troubleshooting for legacy and modern systems

  • Experience with system upgrades (in-place and fresh installations)

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Ansible (RHEL)

    • PowerShell, SCCM (Windows)

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, PowerShell, Ansible)

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Patch management

    • System hardening

    • Vulnerability scanning

  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware preferred)

  • Knowledge of IT systems, operations, and information security practices
