Revenue Accountant

The position plays a pivotal role in the month-end and quarter-end close process. Responsibilities include performing balance sheet reviews, preparing reconciliations, documenting process gaps, and ensuring the timely completion of all close deliverables. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and effective collaboration within a team. Participation in staff meetings and cross-functional discussions is essential to support broader departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete monthly and quarterly close activities, including preparing and booking journal entries, fulfilling close deliverables, and maintaining and reconciling deferred revenue balance sheet accounts.
• Conduct balance sheet reviews, perform peer reviews of business partner workbooks, and ensure compliance with company policies, U.S. GAAP, and SOX requirements.
• Prepare reconciliations, initiate follow-ups, and ensure accuracy across all assigned accounting activities.
• Identify and document process gaps, recommending updates to enhance clarity and consistency.
• Drive efficiency by streamlining processes and participating in automation efforts.
• Assist in mapping, documenting, and refining end-to-end accounting processes, clearly defining team ownership.
• Perform risk assessments and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Work with large data sets and understand complex company systems for accurate reporting and analysis.
• Partner with internal teams on various projects, initiatives, and recurring production tasks that support operational and strategic goals.
• Provide ad-hoc analyses and respond to management requests related to close activities or trends.
• Articulate how accounting outputs impact downstream teams and cross-functional processes.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7–10 years of experience in accounting.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles; revenue recognition knowledge under ASC 606 preferred.
• Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, critical reasoning, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to comprehend information and document processes effectively.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and navigating ambiguity.
• Strong attention to detail while maintaining awareness of broader business impacts.
• Demonstrates curiosity, eagerness to learn, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to build partnerships and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Work Schedule:

Hybrid | Typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Remote Monday and Friday Onsite Tuesday–Thursday
