Retail Supervisor

Our department supervisors deliver an exceptional customer experience through helpful and friendly service, ensuring that customer needs are met and encouraging customers to make Grigg’s/ACE Hardware their store of choice.

Department Supervisors solve problems for our customers and staff. They are responsible for daily store operations, in-store merchandising, and administrative functions within the department and store. This key role involves leading and training staff to deliver exceptional customer service.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Opening and closing duties for the store.
• Performing customer service and answering customer inquiries
• Assisting in training newly hired associates.
• Oversee in-store merchandising and setting promotional signage.
• Enforcement of all company policies.
• Organize, restock, and clean merchandise on the sales floor.
• Inventory control and enforcement of loss prevention policies.
• Always demonstrate commitment to all safety standards.
• Communicate with coworkers and delegate as needed.
• Work cooperatively with team members and other supervisors.
• Use equipment properly and maintain it as needed.
• Report any order discrepancies or issues to management.

  Requirements: 

• 2+ years retail experience.
• 1+ year supervisory experience.
• Cash handling experience.
• Learn and exemplify the Helpful Ready policy of Grigg’s/ACE Hardware.
• Possess self-management skills.
• Perform basic math and computer skills.
• Great customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent physical stamina.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.

 Pay: $19.25 - $21.00/hr.

Schedule: Full-time, up to 40 hours per week.  Workdays will be varied and include the following shifts, days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
