Interior Designer - Retail/Commercial Interior Design | Fort Worth, TX
Working Style: Hybrid (1-2 days working from home after onboarding)

We’re searching for a bold, imaginative Interior Designer, focused on retail/commercial interior design, who can dream big and dive into the details. You’ll collaborate closely with clients and the design team to create vibrant, eye-catching retail and commercial spaces—inside and out—that tell a brand’s story and elevate the customer experience.

In this role, the Retail Interior Designer will use creativity to create functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing indoor and outdoor spaces. They do so by choosing key and decorative elements such as finishes, lighting, décor, furniture, and architectural details for each design. The Retail Interior Designer will regularly engage with the client to establish the design and work closely with the build team to ensure the design's integrity is maintained.


Responsibilities

  • Works with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for the space to be designed.
  • Collaborate and communicate well with other designers.
  • Develop concept boards and store renderings based on each client’s unique vision.
  • Specify materials, furnishings, and décor.
  • Create final documentation and specifications for each project.
  • Coordinate with the construction team and other design consultants as needed.
  • Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design.
  • Train junior designers on design standards and skills, or assign and oversee support designers.

Qualifications

  • Professional Interior Design or Architecture degree from a FIDER/CIDA-accredited school
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an architecture or commercial interior design firm
  • Experience in retail or restaurant design preferred
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage several jobs at once
  • The ability to apply a sense of style to create aesthetically pleasing interiors and exteriors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of final documentation, production, and detailing
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or CorelDRAW Graphics Suite
  • Experience with SketchUp
