Job Summary
The General Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the overall success and profitability of the restaurant. This position ensures the restaurant consistently meets McDonald’s stringent standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC). The General Manager works closely with their leader to establish restaurant goals and executes a comprehensive plan to achieve them by effectively managing and developing a team of Department Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial & Operational Management:
- Run a profitable restaurant operation.
- Ensure adherence to McDonald's critical customer standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC).
- Work with leadership to set ambitious restaurant goals and create actionable plans to achieve them.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and manage a team of Department Managers, providing coaching, direction, and support.
- Help Department Managers set and achieve specific goals for their respective areas of responsibility.
- Follow up on progress and provide coaching to continually improve Department performance.
- Responsible for the hiring and development of Department and Shift Managers to build strong future leadership.
- Customer Experience:
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service and product quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a management or supervisory role, preferably within the restaurant or quick-service industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of operational drivers for profitability.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards for QSC.
Compensation & Additional Information
- Pay Rate:$50,000 to $70,000 per year, based on experience.

Our Area Supervisor is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for making sure the restaurant meets McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so this is a big job! The General Manager works with his/ her leader to set the restaurant's goals and create a plan to achieve them.
