Job Title: Restaurant Manager Full Time/Hourly


Reports To: Director of Sales


Indirectly Reports to: Executive Chef & General Manager


Supervises the following Positions: All Front of House Staff


Job Summary: Motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.

Expected Hours of Work:

Principal Duties/Tasks:

Supervise the FOH team in providing the best service on a daily basis

Hiring, training and proficiency (including performance reviews) of FOH employees of Nest

Ensure FOH employees wear uniforms and appearance is within NEST standards

Maintain responsibility for cleanliness and set-up of Dining, Bar & Patio Area

Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures

Ensure quality levels of food and beverage products and maintain quality standards in services, facilities, and member/guest satisfaction

Open and Close NEST at designated times using standard opening/ closing procedures

Verify the accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips, and other charges on all guest checks and accurately open, close and operate the POS system

Assist in documentation of all standard beverage recipes. Ensure accuracy of operations by all bartenders at all times.

Attend food and beverage meetings as outlined by superiors

Demonstrates knowledge of the entire food and drink menu and its preparation.

Ensure compliance with operating guidelines as it relates to ABC programs as well as operating within all state and federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to the ABC Board

Record credit cards and member charges as outlined in Kiln Creek Golf Club & Resort's standard operating procedures

Maintain responsibility for authorizing and verifying payroll for the Director of Sales and monitor policies, procedures and controls.

Understand and comply with state liquor laws as they relate to alcohol service.

Ensure the Chain of Command is informed of members/guests who may be intoxicated. Any member/guest who is clearly intoxicated is not to be served.

Enforce all sanitation procedures including safety guidelines.

Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by Kiln Creek Golf Club & Resort and operate under all mandatory standards of operations.


Physical/Mental/Visual Skills:

Good organizational and verbal skills

Ability to use logical or rational thinking to solve problems

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages

Ability to provide effective written and verbal instructions, as well as the ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.

Ability to effectively monitor and develop subordinates

Ability to perform moderate physical work, may be required to lift up to 150 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly, performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping for extended periods of time (more than 5 hours)

Required Work Experience: Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage service operational procedures as would normally be acquired through a high school education or equivalent. Thorough knowledge of general business administration practices and state liquor laws as applied to bartending operational practices and procedures as would be acquired through three to five years of similar experience in progressively responsible positions. 2 years prior supervisory experience required.


Required Education: Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage service operational procedures as would normally be acquired through a high school education or equivalent.


Required Certifications/Licenses: ServSafe & RSVP certification required

Working Conditions: Works primarily in bar and dining area of Nest. May be required to work in kitchen. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement hazards, sharp utensils, extremely hot stoves, grills and food, and dangerous chemicals/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.

Uniforms: Semi-Formal, professional attire, NEST/Kiln Creek polo shirts
