Position Overview

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all restaurant operations, building and developing high performing teams, maintaining quality standards, and driving revenue and profitability. This leader will also identify and mentor future leaders within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development

  • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate restaurant staff
  • Foster a positive, productive culture centered on accountability and growth
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback
  • Promote company values and hospitality standards across the team

Operations Management

  • Oversee scheduling, inventory, budgeting, and day to day operations
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement operational improvements

Guest Experience

  • Model exceptional service by actively engaging with guests
  • Address concerns promptly and professionally
  • Use guest feedback to continuously enhance the dining experience

Financial Oversight

  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
  • Manage cost controls while maintaining quality
  • Drive local marketing, promotions, and sales initiatives

Vendor Management

  • Build strong supplier relationships
  • Negotiate pricing to support cost efficiency without sacrificing quality

Required Skills

  • Solid knowledge of food, beverage, and service standards

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required
  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of full service restaurant management experience

Working Environment and Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent interaction with guests and team members and involves typical restaurant conditions such as noise, temperature changes, and extended periods of standing.

Candidates must be able to:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Stand and move for extended periods
  • Bend, kneel, reach, and balance regularly
  • Use hands continuously to operate equipment
  • Maintain strong visual awareness including close and distance focus
