Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Detroit, MI 48236

Duration: 3+ Months contract (Possible Extension)

Schedule Notes: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM

Job Summary:

· Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers lifesupport, resuscitation, monitoring and various medical gases therapy to patients.

· Performs invasive and noninvasive diagnostic procedures to Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients.

· Maintains clinical expertise for Departmental assignments at various business units throughout, as assigned.

· Communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, physicians and other system employees as needed, regarding patient care needs.

· Adequately documents all aspects of patient care. Supervises, directs and delegates to Respiratory Therapists, Respiratory orients, externs and students, as assigned.

· Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.

Education:

· Associate of Science Degree, from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.
