Overview:
As a Residential Counselor – ABH in Pennsylvania, you will work closely with residents to foster a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment. Your efforts will help residents achieve their recovery goals, improve their daily living skills, and enhance their overall well-being. Required Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to resident care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of behavioral health principles
  • Capable of managing challenging situations with patience
  • Reliable and punctual with excellent time-management skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working in residential or mental health facilities
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices
  • Bilingual skills or multilingual abilities

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in behavioral health, social services, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are advantageous

  • Ability to pass background checks and obtain necessary clearances
