Residence and Facilities Manager
Southern Georgia (twenty-five minutes from Thomasville, GA)
A significant client is seeking a mechanically minded professional with a strong background in facilities management and building systems to oversee the maintenance and care of their private estate. Prior experience within a luxury estate, private club, boutique hotel, college campus, or comparably complex property is required.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in overseeing facility operations, managing building systems, and developing and implementing standardized procedures. This role requires a hands-on approach and the physical capability to step in and address issues directly when they arise.
This position centers on year-round operational oversight, systems management, training, inspections, and ensuring consistency during both offseason and in-season periods. You will collaborate closely with the Property Manager and a team of dedicated professionals to ensure all buildings are meticulously maintained and consistently guest-ready to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and implement standardized procedures (SOPs) across the sizable property.
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and property assessments.
- Manage vendors, contractors, and seasonal staff to ensure high-quality work and property integrity.
- Oversee purchasing, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Prepare reports, maintain inventory logs, and coordinate with internal teams using tools like SharePoint.
- Ensure residences and support buildings are guest-ready for family visits, events, and special occasions.
- Provide hands-on support for landscaping, pool/spa maintenance, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and more.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain operational excellence.
Qualifications
- 812+ years of facilities experience in luxury estates, private clubs, boutique hotels, high-end resorts, or other significant facilities.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool/spa, and filtration systems.
- Proven ability to develop and implement SOPs, checklists, and standards.
- Experience with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., SharePoint).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide actionable feedback.
- High level of discretion and comfort working in a UHNW environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Schedule:
- In Season From Thanksgiving to Easter you should anticipate working weekends and holidays. There will be some 6-day work weeks.
- Off season Your schedule can switch to Monday Friday. There is a shared schedule among the team for weekend building checks.
- Work hours will vary based on family residency periods, guest visits, and special events.
Salary and Benefits:
- $120,000 to $150,000 annually commensurate with experience
