Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong writing and communication skills: Ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive proposals. Proven ability to make complex information understandable to a broad range of audiences. Demonstrable understanding of and familiarity with a broad range of scientific or technical subject matter is helpful. Excellent project management skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Solutions-oriented approach: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, often deadline-driven environment where priorities change in response to external needs and opportunities. Familiarity with federal and/or foundation granting bodies, funding programs, and application requirements. Direct experience preparing federal and/or foundation proposals for submission. This position requires strong project management, writing, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to organize, analyze and interpret complex scientific, medical or technical data. Demonstrated success in helping to secure considerable funding via federal and/or foundation proposals. Experience effectively interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization, including university faculty. Must be able to balance the needs of multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where priorities change in response to external needs and opportunities.
Additional Information: In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $100,000.00 to USD $120,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
