Research Assistant

Job Title: Research Assistant
Location: Columbus, OH
Type: Direct Hire with Client

Responsibilities

• Assist the study coordinator in the overall conduct of the trial with a focus on administrative functions and general study tasks.
• RealTime CTMS and EDC data entry and management.
• Prepare for subject visits: source documents, patient visits, request cabs, request checks.
• Conduct recruitment telephone calls and schedule subjects.
• Order, organize, label study supplies and maintain inventory levels based on current enrollment status.
• Prepare results and reports for investigator signatures as needed.
• Perform general office duties such as answering phones, distributing faxes, welcoming patients and visitors.
• Assist in the conduct of study visits, including phlebotomy, EKG, PFT, photography, etc., following training protocols.
• Complete relevant source documentation.
• Assist with query resolution.
• Process and prepare specimens according to lab manual and IATA standards.

• High School diploma with relevant work experience or skills
• Ability to observe details to avoid errors of a technical or judgmental nature
• Ability to work well with others in an assistive capacity
• Competent to be held accountable for experimental drugs
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of research information; HIPAA compliant
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of GCP and study protocol requirements
