Physical Security Project Manager

Business Justification/Executive Summary Consulting will provide one (1) experienced project manager and one (1) experienced senior physical network security consultant to support customer's global initiative to modernize, standardize, and operationalize its physical security program across approximately 400 office locations worldwide.

These resources will operate as an extension of customer's internal teams and will collaborate closely with Security, Facilities, IT, HR, and regional stakeholders to validate strategy, execute planning, and guide implementation of physical security solutions.

Consulting provides this architecture support as a subject matter expert (SME) support role. Typically, in this type of engagement, it is anticipated that the resources will engage as members of the team and have team assignments and deliverables as part of that structure.

Consulting will work with customer leadership, and project leads to defining team deliverables as needed.

Position Summary

The Physical Security Project Manager will be responsible for program coordination, planning, and execution oversight across customer's multi-region, multi-site physical security initiative.

The Physical Security Project Manager will work closely with the Physical Security Engineering/Technical Consultant (PSETC) to:

Align program execution with technical standards;

Ensure deployments are both operationally feasible and architecturally sound; and

Provide customer with confidence that its physical security program is scalable, standardized, and future-ready.

Key Responsibilities

Program and deployment planning:

Develop and maintain a global physical security program plan, including timelines, milestones, and dependencies across regions (NA, EMEA, APAC, LATAM).

Support the creation of a project team model vs. a business-as-usual (BAU) operating model, clarifying roles, handoffs, and escalation paths.

Coordinate phased deployment strategies for:

o customer locations,

o New builds and office expansions.

Vendor and partner coordination:

Support regional vendor selection efforts, including:

o Defining scope expectations for regional integrators,

o Participating in vendor evaluations and performance reviews, and

o Identifying risks and gaps with current vendors (e.g., Convergent, Pavion).

Coordinate vendor activities during deployment to ensure adherence to customer standards, timelines, and quality expectations.

Act as a central point of coordination between customer and third-party integrators.

Oversee deployment planning and execution for access control, video surveillance, and perimeter security systems across multiple locations.

Track progress across sites and regions, managing interdependencies and sequencing.

Identify deployment risks early and work with stakeholders to mitigate delays or issues.

Serve as liaison among the following teams:

o Security,

o Facilities,

o IT,

o HR, and

o Real Estate.

Coordinate alignment between physical security designs and the following:

o Enterprise network requirements,

o HR systems for access provisioning and de-provisioning, and

o Facilities timelines and construction schedules.

Provide regular status reporting on program progress, risks, and issues.

Support budget tracking, forecast updates, and cost control discussions.

Assist in establishing governance processes for decision making and change management.

Required Skills

General Abilities

Expertise in project management leadership and execution in the following areas: networking infrastructure, security, cloud-based or virtual infrastructure, process development.

Experience managing multiple technology projects.

Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, MS-Teams.

Experience in building and maintaining complex schedules (e.g. MS Project, ServiceNow).

Excellent documentation, attention to detail, retention, and follow-up skills.

Ensure project documentation is organized and stored properly.

Leads and works well with a wide variety of people/ teams of different personalities/ backgrounds.

Develops and oversees execution of a communications plan.

Facilitate project team meetings including weekly status meetings.

Works with project teams to resolve scheduled, budget, deliverable, and quality problems

Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies.

Strong time management and organizational skills and able to meet deadlines.
