Overview
We are seeking an early-career GenAI Application Developer to build and enhance AI-powered applications for an AWS-based Contact Center platform. This role focuses on integrating generative AI capabilities with customer interaction systems to improve automation, efficiency, and user experience.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services, Python development, and conversational AI technologies, along with a strong interest in working with modern AI-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Amazon Connect Development
- Build and maintain contact flows, routing profiles, and queues for voice and chat channels
- Integrate Amazon Lex V2 bots for self-service, call deflection, and escalation
- Configure Contact Lens for transcription, sentiment analysis, and compliance
- Enable Amazon Q in Connect for real-time agent assist and guided workflows
- Manage S3-based storage for call/chat transcripts with encryption and lifecycle policies
AI Orchestration & Backend Development
- Develop AWS Lambda (Python) functions for AI orchestration and backend services
- Integrate Amazon Bedrock for LLM and embeddings-based workflows
- Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
- Implement OpenSearch-based indexing and vector search
- Ensure proper logging, testing, and performance optimization
Data Security & Compliance
- Implement AI guardrails and prompt safety mechanisms
- Enforce PII masking and redaction policies
- Support threat modeling and security remediation activities
Web & Chat Integration
- Support secure chat entry using CloudFront and WAF
- Build APIs to integrate web chat, AI services, and contact center workflows
DevOps & Monitoring
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and code reviews
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams
- Monitor system performance using CloudWatch dashboards and alerts
Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–4 years of software development experience
- Strong Python skills with hands-on AWS Lambda development
- Experience with Amazon Connect (contact flows, routing, queues)
- Experience integrating Amazon Lex V2 with Connect
- Familiarity with conversational AI design (intents, slots, fallback handling)
- Experience with CloudFormation and Git-based CI/CD
- Basic cloud security knowledge (IAM, KMS, encryption)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience with full Amazon Connect deployments (telephony, routing optimization)
- Hands-on experience with Contact Lens and Amazon Q in Connect
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock and LLM integrations
- Knowledge of RAG architectures and vector search (OpenSearch)
- Experience with AWS WAF, CloudFront, and secure architectures
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray, Athena, Glue)
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (FISMA, FedRAMP)
- Relevant AWS certifications (Developer, Solutions Architect, AI Specialty, DevOps)
