Remote Certified Medical Assistant – Jacksonville, FL Area
Vaco is hiring Remote Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to provide medical abstraction and indexing services. Candidates must reside within 1 hour of Jacksonville, FL for on-site equipment pick-up and first-day orientation.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Location: Remote after equipment pick-up
- Training: Fully remote after hybrid first-day orientation
Qualifications:
- Must reside within 1 hour commuting distance of Jacksonville, FL.
- Availability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Strong computer and communication skills required.
- Self-motivated, problem-solver with the ability to work independently.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business and account needs.
Experience Required:
- Medical documentation and familiarity with EMR systems (Excel experience preferred).
- Medical transcription or relevant experience in nursing, cardiology, multi-specialty, or billing/coding.
- Knowledge and commitment to HIPAA and HITECH policies for patient confidentiality.
- Proficiency in:
- Abstracting and indexing clinical data from medical records.
- Logging information from paper charts to EHR systems or transferring between EHR platforms.
