In this role, you will lead initiatives focusing on equipment longevity and efficiency by applying reliability strategies and advanced maintenance practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in maintenance, operations, and engineering to foster a culture of mechanical excellence and reliability across our facility.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and spearhead initiatives that enhance asset reliability and promote efficiency in maintenance processes.
- Leverage methodologies like Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and failure analytics to drive performance improvements.
- Implement and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil condition monitoring.
- Utilize SAP PM or Maximo for managing comprehensive maintenance data and reliability metrics, focusing on preventive strategies and work order efficiency.
- Conduct in-depth analyses including Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to reduce equipment downtime and support operational reliability.
- Participate in planning and executing turnarounds/outages and collaborate on capital projects to integrate reliability principles into new installations and upgrades.
Qualifications:
- A strong educational background, preferably a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, combined with 3-7 years of relevant experience in the chemical, petrochemical, refining, or heavy manufacturing industries.
- Solid expertise in handling rotating and fixed equipment within chemical processing environments.
- Proficient in using maintenance management systems such as SAP PM or Maximo.
- Knowledgeable in OSHA PSM standards and mechanical integrity protocols.
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies is an asset. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement processes is highly desirable.
