This role involves spearheading initiatives to enhance equipment dependability and optimize functioning. Responsibilities include designing systematic approaches to address and manage defects efficiently, guiding efforts to eliminate breakdowns using defined problem-solving methods, and working closely with operators to resolve issues and prevent future equipment failures. You will be tasked with strategizing and prioritizing scheduled maintenance activities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement by disseminating best practices among team members. In this position, you will maintain robust communication with the maintenance division to synchronize priorities and refine maintenance protocols like Defect Handling and Breakdown Management. The focus is on implementing proactive strategies to mitigate operational disruptions.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a similar field, or demonstrate equivalent experience. A minimum of three years' experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering within a dynamic production environment is essential. A strong grasp of electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs, instrumentation, and power distribution, is required. Previous involvement in the paper industry, especially with pulping equipment, is very desirable. The position demands a leader passionate about teamwork and goal attainment, with sharp analytical and critical thinking abilities to solve complex problems swiftly. Proficiency in mechanical or design engineering, ideally within a paper mill context, is advantageous. Organizational skill, prioritization capability, and familiarity with Lean Production System principles are critical.
