Pay Range: $33 - $59/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Work Shift: Night Shift (Full-time) - Schedule may include evenings, nights, weekends, and call as needed for 24/7 department operation.
• Post-Anesthesia Recovery: Monitor, examine, and evaluate patients immediately post-procedure. Manage airway, pain, nausea, and hemodynamic stability. Implement and adjust care plans using independent clinical judgment.
• Care Coordination & Communication: Collaborate and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth transitions from the OR to the PACU and onward to inpatient units or discharge.
• Patient Advocacy & Education: Serve as an educational resource for patients and families regarding post-operative care and recovery. Provide compassionate support and clear communication during the immediate post-op period.
• Clinical Documentation & Safety: Deliver safe, effective care according to established policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and recovery progress.
• Professional Leadership & Development: Maintain professional competencies and seek growth opportunities. Contribute to a positive work environment, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and may mentor others. Uphold all confidentiality, safety, and professional standards.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Key skills; Registered Nurse (RN), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Recovery Room, BLS, ACLS (Preferred), Critical Care or ICU Experience
• Licensure: Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license or Multi-State Compact RN license.
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master's in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required upon hire. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) is strongly preferred and often required.
• Experience: Experience in PACU, ICU, Critical Care, or a high-acuity post-surgical setting is highly preferred. New graduates with strong critical care clinical rotations may be considered.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication abilities.
• Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed manner.
• Basic computer skills for documentation are required.
