Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Tele

Job Title: RN – Med Surg/Tele
Location: Bronx, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $70/hr – $73/hr
Shift: Night Shift (8:00 PM – 8:30 AM)

Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 11.5 hours per shift, 1-hour lunch, every other weekend
Interview Requirement: Phone Interview

Job Summary:
The Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in an acute care hospital setting, monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms while delivering safe and effective nursing interventions. This role involves caring for patients with medical-surgical and cardiac conditions, administering medications, and performing specialized clinical procedures. The nurse will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This is a contract role with no extension.

Responsibilities:

· Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and rhythms

· Provide direct nursing care in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit

· Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy

· Administer medications and conscious sedation per protocol

· Document patient assessments and interventions accurately

· Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members

Requirements:

· One (2) year of Telemetry experience

· Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited program

· Active New York State RN License with NYSED primary source verification

· AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)

· AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
