- Expert Oncology & Med/Surg Care: Provide advanced nursing care for oncology patients, including those receiving chemotherapy, managing treatment side effects (e.g., neutropenia, mucositis, pain), and recovering from surgery.
- Also care for patients with acute medical conditions requiring hospitalization.
- Clinical Leadership: Utilize your extensive experience to serve as a clinical resource for the nursing team.
- Model best practices in symptom management, complex wound care, central line management, and patient education.
- Patient & Family Support: Provide compassionate, relationship-based care and extensive education to patients and families navigating cancer diagnosis, treatment plans, and symptom management.
- Address complex psychosocial and emotional needs.
- Mentorship & Preceptorship: Act as a preceptor and mentor for newer nurses and students, fostering their clinical development and supporting a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Quality & Safety: Participate in and lead unit-based performance improvement initiatives. Uphold strict infection control protocols, especially for immunocompromised patients, and ensure adherence to all clinical and safety standards.

- Key Skills;Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State)
- Current BLS certification (required upon hire)
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience
- Oncology or acute care medical-surgical nursing experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN License in the State of Georgia or a Multi-State Compact License.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification is highly desirable.
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience is required.
- Substantial direct patient care experience in an Oncology, Medical-Surgical, or Acute Care setting is essential.
- Expert clinical judgment, critical thinking, and proficiency in oncology nursing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and mentorship abilities.
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize complex patient needs.
- Compassion, resilience, and commitment to patient and family-centered care.
