The Opportunity
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our 29-bed Intermediate and Acute Care/Telemetry unit in Raleigh, NC. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a high-acuity environment and enjoys the challenge of managing complex thoracic and cardiovascular cases.
What You’ll Do
Specialized Care: Manage a diverse 1:4 patient ratio including thoracic post-op, cardiovascular patients requiring drip management, and acute cardiac exacerbations.
Clinical Excellence: Perform high-level assessments, implement evidence-based care plans, and ensure safe patient delivery.
Collaboration: Partner with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless transitions and continuity of care.
Safety & Quality: Actively participate in unit-based quality initiatives aligned with our Leapfrog "A" safety standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate real-time records and support essential patient/family education.
What You Bring
Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or compact state).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of inpatient nursing experience; Telemetry or IMU experience is preferred.
Education: Graduation from an accredited professional nursing school (BSN/MSN required within a specific timeframe if not already held).
Certifications: Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Competency: Strong clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced situations.
