Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments, monitoring vital signs, and assessing patient safety throughout the procedure.
• Evaluate patient care by reviewing records, noting changing conditions, and modifying nursing care plans to meet patient needs and standards of care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to coordinate all aspects of care and provide necessary education.
• Operate, assemble, tear down, inspect, and disinfect dialysis machines and water treatment systems, ensuring they meet safety and readiness standards.
• Perform infection prevention and control procedures in strict adherence to policy, including drawing water samples for cultures/endotoxins.
• Uphold all health system policies, standards of work, and compliance requirements.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Key skills; Registered Nurse (RN), Dialysis Care, ACLS, BLS, Renal Nursing
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN License in Georgia or a Multi-State Compact License.
• Certifications (Required Upon Hire):
• BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
• ACLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross) – must be obtained within 180 days if not current at hire.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare or institutional work setting required.
• Minimum 5 years of total experience working in a healthcare setting or system required.
• Prior dialysis or nephrology experience is highly valued.
• Skills: Strong clinical skills, including venipuncture.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to multitask, pay close attention to detail, and maintain a quality-focused, self-directed work ethic.
• Suitability for clinical work with a dedication to patient care and safety.
