Job Details
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Stepdown / Cardiac PCU RN to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
This role supports patients transitioning from ICU who require advanced monitoring, telemetry, and cardiac-focused care, including post-surgical cardiovascular patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver cardiovascular stepdown and cardiac PCU nursing care
Monitor patients using telemetry and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
Manage post-operative cardiac and vascular patients
Administer and titrate vasoactive medications (inotropes, vasopressors)
Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NC or compact)
Minimum 1 year acute care RN experience (PCU, stepdown, telemetry, or ICU)
BLS certification
Strong experience in cardiac care, telemetry, or progressive care units
