Registered Nurse Oncology Medical Surgical Unit

Location: Tallahassee, FL
Hourly Rate:$27.72 – $39.60/hr (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 (case-by-case)
Shift Differentials:

• Nights: +$3/hr

• Weekends: +$2/hr

Position Overview

Join a highly supportive and collaborative Oncology Medical-Surgical team committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. As an Oncology RN, you will play a key role in providing compassionate support and evidence-based clinical care to patients undergoing cancer treatment and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations.

• Create and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.

• Advocate for patient safety, dignity, and clinical best practices.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of providers, therapists, pharmacists, and support staff.

• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and medications.

• Manage clinical situations independently using strong critical-thinking skills.

Requirements

• Active Florida RN License

• 1+ year of recent RN experience

  • Acute care preferred

  • Long-term acute care (LTAC) considered

• BLS certification required

• ACLS required within 6 months

• BSN preferred

Work Environment

• Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 1:5 – 1:6

• Shift Options:

  • Days: 7 AM – 7 PM (Rotating Weekends)

  • Nights: 7 PM – 7 AM (Rotating Weekends)
