Major/Essential Functions

  • Provides direct nursing services to patients in the health facility following standards of care of the department. 
  • Ensures clinical health equipment and technology is in good working order, and maintains equipment according to departmental standards, including operational use, cleaning/sterilization protocols. Immediately reports inoperable equipment per departmental standards.
  • Assists with or performs exams and procedures;
  • Administer or assist with the administration of medications to patients;
  • Assess and triage patient care requests;
  • Performs nursing rounds as needed in all required areas;
  • Oversees the clinical practice of LVNs and other clinical personnel in the health facility
  • Other duties as assigned
Registered Nurse Shift Differential:
  • Day Shift Employees: Earn an extra $4.00 per hour for shifts worked on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Night Shift Employees:
    • Earn an extra $4.00 per hour for shifts worked Monday through Friday.
    • Earn an extra $8.00 per hour for shifts worked on Saturday and Sunday.

Pay Statement

Required Qualifications

Current RN License in the State of Texas, or ability to transfer license to Texas, or scheduled to complete a program of nursing within 120 days of applying for a position. Graduated from an approved accredited nursing program.  New graduates must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX- RN) on the first attempt. ​No experience required.
