How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Deliver rapid, patient-centered emergency care to individuals of all ages, ensuring safe, compassionate treatment in a fast-paced free-standing ED setting.
  • Assess, triage, and prioritize patients quickly to stabilize acute conditions and determine appropriate treatment or transfer when higher-level care is required.

  • Monitor patient status closely and intervene decisively to prevent complications and support positive clinical outcomes.

  • Collaborate with physicians, EMS, and receiving facilities to ensure smooth transitions of care and efficient patient flow.

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions to promote recovery, reduce return visits, and strengthen community trust.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date require. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of
    Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

  • Minimum 2 years of ED experience 
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
