- Shift/Hours: 36 or 48-hour guarantee (accepts locals within 50 miles at adjusted rate)
The Registered Nurse – ER/Medical Surgical will provide direct and comprehensive care in an emergency and med/surg setting. This role requires critical thinking, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Candidates must be prepared to support patient care under varying shift demands and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to drive quality outcomes.
- Deliver high-quality emergency and medical surgical nursing care based on clinical protocols.
- Respond to acute patient needs in both ER and MedSurg environments.
- Utilize EMR systems (preferably Cerner) for documentation and coordination.
- Administer treatments, medications, and perform diagnostic testing as appropriate.
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards in all aspects of care.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Meet submission requirements, including resume, references, and license verification.
- 2+ years of recent experience in Emergency or Med/Surg nursing
- Documented travel RN experience
- Two recent charge/manager RN references in the specialty
- Previous experience using Cerner EMR
- Recent Dysrhythmia exam (80%+ passing score)
- Emergency and Medical-Surgical care
- NH or Compact RN License
- BLS & ACLS Certifications
- EMR proficiency (Cerner preferred)
- Multi-specialty unit adaptability
- Acute care stabilization and triage
- Clinical documentation accuracy
- Dysrhythmia interpretation skills
- NURSYS license verification
- Experience working in guaranteed-hour contracts
- Reference and checklist documentation readiness
- Inclusion of RTO at submission
