Registered Nurse Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit

Location: Tallahassee, FL
Shift: Nights | Rotating Weekends

Hourly Rate:$27.72 – $39.60/hr (experience-based)
Specialty Differential: +$2.50/hr
Shift Differentials:

• Nights: +$3/hr

• Weekends: +$2/hr
  Sign-On Bonus: Up to $25,000 (Night Shift Only; case-by-case)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Cardiac Surgery ICU Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity, patient-centered CSICU team. This role provides specialized care for complex cardiac surgery patients and requires strong clinical judgment, autonomy, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-intensity critical care for post–cardiac surgery patients.

• Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and monitor patient conditions.

• Manage treatments independently following established protocols.

• Advocate for patient and family needs with professionalism and empathy.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure patient rights are upheld.

• Educate patients and families regarding medications, procedures, and recovery expectations.

• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Experience

• 1+ year of acute care RN experience required

• ICU experience preferred but not required

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Florida RN License

• BLS required

• ACLS required within 6 months of hire

• CCRN preferred (must be obtained within 2 years)

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 30 days

Education

• BSN preferred
