Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Essential Duties:

• Provide chair-side and clinical support during exams and procedures
• Take impressions for models and denture appliances
• Place and remove rubber dams or other isolation devices
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms in compliance with infection control standards
• Temporarily cement and remove provisional crowns
• Place sealants and perform coronal polishing (with certification)

Extended Functions:

• Place, contour, and finish restorative materials after dentist preparation
• Adjust occlusion on restorations
• Take final impressions and bite registrations for crowns
• Perform oral health assessments in school-based, community health project settings under the direction of a dentist or registered dental hygienist (with certification)

• California Registered Dental Assistant Extended Functions (RDAEF) License
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Willing and able to travel to other MCHC sites for trainings, meetings, and/or to cover shifts as needed.  

Preferred:

• At least one year of experience working in a dental office with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent)

Compensation details: 34-40 Hourly Wage
