Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, The Regional Vice President is responsible for operational oversight and direction of USO operations in a geographic region.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Duties)
- Develop and execute regional business strategy aligned with USO organizational priorities to strengthen mission delivery, strengthen brand visibility, and support enterprise fundraising efforts through regional engagement and partnership with the national fundraising team across the assigned geographic region.*
- Build, strengthen, and sustain strategic relationships with military leadership, private-sector partners, and community stakeholders to advance the USO mission.*
- Direct short- and long-term regional planning, programs, and operational practices to ensure successful delivery of high-quality services that are consistent, compliant, and aligned with USO policies, procedures, and core values.*
- Monitor, assess, and communicate performance results related to programs, services, facilities, equipment, and events; present key metrics to senior leadership and drive continuous improvement through feedback, accountability, and operational adjustments.*
- Develop proposed regional operating budgets, regularly monitoring financial performance against established goals and ensuring effective stewardship of organizational resources.*
- Lead, manage, and mentor Director of Operations, Area Directors, and subordinate staff to strengthen leadership capability, operational effectiveness, employee engagement, and USO culture across the region.*
- Ensure regional readiness and responsiveness to emerging mission requirements, organizational priorities, and operational challenges through proactive leadership, sound decision-making, and cross-functional coordination.*

Job Specifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field. MBA preferred.
- 15+ years progressively responsible work experience in a leadership or management role, including 7+ years in a supervisory capacity. Relevant experience in a not-for-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to create and lead high-performing teams. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and achieve desired results through others.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact with USO Leadership, the general public and military audiences at a variety of levels with integrity and professionalism.
- Proficiency with developing long-term strategic direction and with business support functions (i.e. budget, planning, management) for a large enterprise or multiple business units.
- Demonstrated initiative/self-motivation, with the ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment. Working knowledge of various software, applications, and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
- Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security, credit and/or background screening, SOFA status, valid driver’s license.
