This position requires familiarity in the following areas: DoW, commercial and civil space operations, ground systems, on-orbit systems, links, international capabilities, threats, cyber operations/threats/security. This position will be responsible for the development, maintenance and delivery of Regional Space Advisor (RSA) Course related materials and lessons. Individual will assist in the coordination, development, and maintenance of said lessons. Individual will instruct develop and instruct RSA lessons. Individual will instruct collaborate with NSSI government, civilian and contractor personnel to develop and deliver the course IAW customer specifications. This course is deliver up to four times per year in the National Capital Region. The successful candidate must be willing to travel multiple times per year up to three weeks at a time.
General duties: This position will is one of a team that will develop from the ground up and then deliver the inaugural iteration of the USSF Regional Space Advisor Course. The individual will need to research subject areas as stated by the customer and develop said material into comprehensive lesson plans, visual aids, and measurement objectives in accordance with Instructional Systems Design principles as determined by the National Security Space Institute (NSSI), Peterson SFB, Colorado.
Specific duties:
Postgraduate level adult education instructor and curriculum developer. Instruct in the RSA course and in other various space and DoD related competency areas supporting online, blended, in-resident and mobile courses of the NSSI as able and required. Qualify and deliver classroom instruction as assigned consistent with Instructional System Development (ISD) principles and NSSI Instructions to satisfy government course delivery requirements.
Curriculum developer. Design, develop, implement, and maintain lesson plans and materials within the USAF Instructional System Development (ISD) guidelines to satisfy government educational requirements. Interface with internal and external agencies and customers as required to maintain up-to-date education program materials. Provide strategic guidance in the adoption of modern digital learning experiences, identification of knowledge and skills gaps, and creation of new learning paths to support space expertise at scale.

Required Experience:

- Working knowledge of USSF Space Competencies
- Working knowledge of Commercial, Civil, and DoW space capabilities and operations
- Working knowledge and experience with training and education systems and programs
- Working knowledge of, and experience with, DoD Operational level command and control
- Working knowledge of US Space strategies, policies and doctrine
- Working knowledge of United States Combatant Commands.
- Working knowledge of US partners in space
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required.
Desired Skills/Experience
Completion of Air Force Instructor Course or equivalent Joint Service or civilian course/degree
Experience with DoD training/education, including planning, developing, and delivering instruction in accordance with the ISD model, training records keeping and documentation.
Familiarity with USSF organizations, Guardian development and strategic direction
Required Education
Masters degree from an accredited institution in relevant field (8 years of experience in a relevant field may be substituted for the education requirement)
In compliance with Colorados Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $120,000 to $130,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
