We are seeking a compassionate and driven Regional Sales Director to join our team!
In this role, you will build meaningful connections with nursing facilities, assisted living communities, physicians, and other referral partners to help patients and families access the care they need.
The Regional Sales Director will oversee Account Executives, ensuring alignment with regional growth goals, sales strategy, and operational objectives. This individual will play a key leadership role in expanding market share, strengthening referral relationships, and supporting patient access to high-quality home health and hospice services.
In addition to leading regional sales operations, the Regional Sales Director will personally manage several key strategic referral accounts, ensuring high-level engagement with major healthcare systems, hospitals, physician groups, and post-acute partners.
This position requires a proven healthcare sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can develop and inspire teams, and has a strong track record of delivering measurable growth in home health or hospice markets.

Regional Sales Leadership
• Provide strategic leadership for sales and referral development across home health and hospice agencies in multiple states.
• Lead, mentor, and support Account Executives to achieve regional growth objectives.
• Establish clear performance expectations and monitor team performance through defined KPIs, referral metrics, and admission goals.
• Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and field engagement to strengthen sales effectiveness.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the regional sales organization.
Strategic Growth & Market Development
• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to expand market share and drive sustainable census growth across all agencies.
• Identify new market opportunities, service line expansion opportunities, and referral partnerships within each territory.
• Analyze regional market trends, competitive positioning, and referral patterns to guide strategic planning.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and operational leaders to align sales initiatives with broader organizational growth objectives.
Key Account Management
• Personally manage and cultivate relationships with select high-value strategic accounts, including hospitals, health systems, physician networks, and post-acute providers.
• Serve as the senior relationship leader for key referral partners, ensuring consistent communication, service excellence, and partnership development.
• Support agency teams in securing and maintaining large referral partnerships and preferred provider agreements.
Team Development & Coaching
• Recruit, develop, and retain top-performing sales professionals within the region.
• Provide ongoing sales training, mentorship, and field coaching to Area Sales Managers and Account Executives.
• Support leadership development within the sales organization and create pathways for internal growth.
• Lead regional sales meetings, training sessions, and strategic planning discussions.
Community & Industry Engagement
• Represent the organization at healthcare networking events, industry associations, and community partnerships.
• Promote awareness of home health and hospice services through educational outreach and professional presentations.
• Strengthen relationships with physicians, discharge planners, case managers, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other healthcare partners.
Operational Collaboration & Reporting
• Work closely with clinical and operational leaders to ensure alignment between service delivery, patient care capacity, and referral growth.
• Monitor and report on regional sales performance, referral trends, and market developments.
• Ensure compliance with all agency policies, healthcare regulations, and documentation standards.
• Oversee CRM utilization, territory planning, and sales reporting across the regional team.
Administrative Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate reporting of sales activities, pipeline management, and referral analytics through the CRM system.
• Support budget planning and forecasting related to regional growth targets.
• Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding market opportunities, team performance, and strategic initiatives.
• Participate in leadership meetings and support organizational growth initiatives.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Minimum 5+ years of sales leadership experience in home health, hospice, or post-acute healthcare services required.
• Proven experience leading multi-site or multi-state sales teams.
• Demonstrated success driving significant census growth and market expansion in home health or hospice markets.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing sales managers and referral development teams.
• Established relationships within healthcare referral networks including hospitals, physician groups, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living communities.
• Experience managing large strategic healthcare accounts or health system partnerships.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Ability to travel regularly within the region to support agencies and key accounts.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, marketing, or related field preferred.
