Regional IT Director

Scope of Responsibility
Geographic & Operational Scope
Regional IT leadership across North America supporting 20+ locations, including 15+ production sites
Ensure high availability, performance, and security across manufacturing and engineering environments
Organizational & Reporting Model
Senior regional IT leader operating within a global matrix organization
Partner with global IT (architecture, cybersecurity, platforms) and regional business leadership
Lead a federated IT organization, including local IT leaders, and influence cross-functional teams (IT, Finance, HR, Procurement, Engineering)
Scale & Criticality
Oversight of 20+ sites and ~250+ IT employees (excluding contractors)
Support 24/7 production-critical operations across multiple time zones
Accountable for business continuity, incident response, and operational resilience
Compliance & Audit
Maintain audit readiness for cybersecurity and operational standards (ISO, TISAX, NIS2 where applicable)
Own regional remediation and compliance execution
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Business/Economics a plus)
10+ years of IT experience, including leadership in multi-site or enterprise environments
Experience supporting both manufacturing and corporate environments with high availability requirements
Proven track record in process improvement, standardization, and large-scale initiatives
Experience leading teams (10+), ideally in manufacturing or automotive
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master s degree or equivalent experience
12 15+ years of IT experience with senior leadership exposure
Experience leading leaders in multinational, multi-site environments
Proven ability to govern end-to-end IT operations across regions (KPIs, standards, operating model)
Background supporting plant operations and/or R&D environments
Additional Expertise
IT service management (ITIL or similar) across full service lifecycle
Strong financial acumen (OPEX/CAPEX, cost control, vendor management)
Experience in strategy development, change management, and executive communication
Portfolio/program governance experience (prioritization, delivery, executive reporting)
Knowledge of information security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001) and risk management
