Roles & Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison between management and union representatives, handling grievances, disciplinary actions, and arbitration.
Support contract negotiations and labor relations strategy under collective bargaining agreements.
Conduct employee investigations and resolve concerns fairly and timely while promoting a positive workplace culture.
Coach and support supervisors and employees on employee relations and performance matters.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention for hourly and salaried roles to meet 24/7 operational needs.
Partner with operations to ensure adequate staffing and workforce planning.
Lead and support a team of three HR professionals in delivering HR initiatives.
Drive performance management, succession planning, and employee development efforts.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
Maintain HR records, reporting, and key HR metrics such as turnover and absenteeism.
Lead safety, wellness, and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with EHS.
Support change management through effective communication and relationship building.
