Wage scale determined by years of experience. Benefits & bonuses available for full-time employees working over 30 hours per week.

Purpose

To support the Texas Region performing various projects, inspections, and assist with project management as assigned by the Director of Project Management.

Regional Facilities Technician Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to the following):

1. Perform work promptly and within budget

2. Regularly communicate with the Director of Project Management and location leadership as to the status of work.

3. Commit to excellent customer service

4. Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.

5. Supervise subcontractors, when applicable.

6. Assist with scheduling and inspect all work performed by outside contractors.

7. Ensure the truck has adequate inventory of parts and supplies.

8. Ensure that all Federal, State, and County Health and Safety Codes, Laws, and Standards are adhered to.

9. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.

2. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance, construction, or equivalent field. Prior Senior Living Facilities experience preferred.

3. Knowledge and ability to perform Carpentry (finish carpentry, framing, door replacement, cabinet repair, etc), painting, wallboard installation/repairs, cement work, Flooring (VCT, LVT, Ceramic), Suspended Ceiling installation/repair, Landscaping irrigation, and repair

4. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general building trades is required. Have the ability to read blueprints and schematics. Must own and use the basic tools to perform building maintenance. Must also be proficient in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematical skills; excellent interpersonal relations and communicative skills; auditory and visual skills. Person must also possess excellent customer service skills.

5. Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs & ladders, to reach, lift, pull, push, balance, crouch, crawl, kneel, and lift or carry weight up to 75 pounds. May be exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions, chemical hazards, respiratory hazards, extreme cold, and/or extreme heat for more than 1 hour at a time.

6. Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal history background check prior to employment with Health Services Management Inc., and possess a valid state driver's license.

7. Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.

8. Be able to work evenings and weekends, as needed.

9. Present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community or representing the company.

10. Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances.
