Job Title: Refueling & Remote Handling Engineer 3 (Direct Hire)

Responsibilities:
- Help develop resolutions to complex problems requiring creativity and innovation.
- Utilize engineering input across organization to develop reactor servicing tools, inspection equipment, and control systems.
- Prepare, check, and review engineering reports, system descriptions, specifications, drawings, calculations, and other design documents—focusing on reactor servicing tooling and inspection systems.
- Collaborate with the Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) Component design organization to ensure proper interface features for reactor servicing tools.
- Coordinate with the Civil/Structural team to meet functional and performance requirements for interface with site buildings.
- Work closely with Systems Engineering and Operations teams to develop work sequences and handling plans for integrated tool design.
- Support procurement activities related to equipment design, fabrication, and testing.
- Perform innovative and complex engineering assignments within a team dedicated to developing engineered products.
- Manage workload and deadlines independently and assist with other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Nuclear Engineering (ABET preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in engineering design processes related to mechanical handling equipment and systems.
- Demonstrated experience in designing mechanical handling equipment and systems, especially within nuclear or related environments.
- Ability to develop and review mechanical design documents.
- Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to learn new concepts rapidly and adapt to an evolving environment.
- Physical ability to communicate clearly via phone, in-person, and using computers; ability to travel as needed.
