Recruiting Assistant

This is a 6‑month hybrid contract opportunity (likely to extend) supporting a large, well‑established insurance organization. The role is based in Hartford, CT, with onsite work Monday-Wednesday and remote work Thursday-Friday, though flexibility to be onsite as needed is required. Hours are full‑time, Monday-Friday (40 hours/week), with schedules of 8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5:00. This role is paying $21.50/hour. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will support recruiters and hiring managers by coordinating high‑volume interview scheduling and assisting with talent acquisition operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule high‑volume interviews for internal and external candidates
- Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely and accurate communication
- Monitor and manage shared recruiting inboxes
- Greet candidates and new hires in the reception area when onsite
- Partner with administrative staff and hiring teams on scheduling logistics
- Provide general support across Talent Acquisition initiatives as needed
Candidate Qualifications
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred
- 1+ year of related experience required; 2+ years preferred in customer service or talent acquisition
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, self‑organize, and work in a fast‑paced environment
- Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills
- Comfortable working in a high‑volume, changing environment
