Position Title: Recruiter
Location: Houston, TX
Assignment Type: 30 day contract
Compensation: $30 - $35 / Hour
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
About the Role:
We are seeking a high-volume Recruiter to join a fast-paced team supporting critical hiring needs in the food services space. This is a contract role expected to last 30 days or more, with the potential for extension based on workload and project needs.
You’ll be responsible for sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates for large-scale kitchen and food service operations. Ideal candidates will be energetic, detail-oriented, and skilled at navigating fast-moving recruiting pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source candidates for kitchen staff roles, including cooks, assistants, and banquet chefs
- Conduct high-volume phone screens and manage applicant flow
- Post jobs, review resumes, and coordinate interviews
- Partner with internal hiring managers to understand evolving needs
- Use ATS (Pinpoint) to track candidate progress (training provided if unfamiliar)
- Provide a strong candidate experience while meeting aggressive deadlines
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Strong phone and sourcing skills
- Familiarity with high-volume recruiting environments
- Experience with large-scale kitchen staffing is a plus (schools, hospitals, banquet operations)
- Comfortable working onsite full-time in a collaborative team environment
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of recruiting experience preferred
- Previous experience using ATS platforms (any system)
- Degree preferred but not required
