Position Details:13-week contract with Possible extensions. - Schedule/Shift: 30 hrs/week ( 7 am - 3:30 pm).
Compensation for Locals:
- Gross Weekly Pay: $750/week.
- W2 Taxable hourly rate: $25/hr.

Job Details and Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The Receptionist is responsible for creating a positive first impression, providing administrative support, and ensuring smooth office operations. This includes but is not limited to greeting guests, answering phones, managing mail, and maintaining the reception area.
- Must demonstrate ability to relate to a substance abuse treatment population in a sensitive manner, an interest and willingness to work in a multicultural setting and must share a customer service orientation. Manages difficult or emotional client situations; responds promptly to client needs. Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; maintains confidentiality
Job Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:
- Answers switchboard with standard greeting and identification of the organization, directs/transfers calls/voicemails to proper extensions, and takes messages as required.
- Answers and uses TTY equipment as needed.
- Greets clients, along with visitors, and notifies appropriate staff of their arrival.
- Process Notice of Admissions and complete disenrollments of clients from treatment.
- Notifies the Manager/Charge Nurse on duty when there is a problem developing in the milieu/waiting area.
- Responsible for handling clients' drop-offs from friends and family members following proper procedure.
- Inform provider/s of medication deliveries that require attention immediately.
- Assist with general direct care duties as needed.
- Performs typing and other clerical tasks as required.
- Coordinate with Staff/Provider to schedule appointments and conduct follow-up calls as needed or as requested by staff/Provider.
- Maintain and Log Medical Records and coordinate with providers for documentation and signatures as needed. Coordinate with staff for the movement of records to storage.
- Complete as needed, record logs in EMR regarding incidents that occur while the patient is in the Lobby or directly involved with the receptionist.
- Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; responds articulately and professionally to questions.
- Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively. Edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively, and can read and interpret written information.
- Interpersonal Skills - Maintains confidentiality, listens to others without interrupting, and is a team player.
