About the Role

Receiving Data Entry clerk is responsible for entering daily receiving into the Stratton Warren computer system.  Entering the paperwork in a timely manner is important to the entire facility, this position requires a close working relationship with receiving, purchasing and accounts payable. The primary duties and responsibilities will be to perform work in accordance with the essential job activities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Maintains and records company issued purchase orders to our vendors.
  • Prepares data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
  • Purchase order and invoice will be completed by the receiving attendant, this packet will be input by the Data Clerk.
  • This position will be responsible for creating the receiver document using the information from the attendants insuring all items on the PO, invoice, and receiver documents match by reviewing data for deficiencies.
  • Verifies entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data.
  • Resolves deficiencies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the on-duty supervisor for resolution.
  • Establishes entry priorities in the daily word load.
  • Processes paperwork in a timely manner, copies and staple each document packet creates the file for the days works.
  • All original paperwork is delivered to Accounts Payable department daily.
  • Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
  • Purges files to eliminate duplication of data.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains department confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Works closely with warehouse receiving, purchasing and accounts payable and contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, bend and twist for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the casino/hotel areas
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts/hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Requirements

  • High School or GED diploma required.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
  • Basic math skill and computer skills required.
  • Excellent 10 key and typing skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand)
