JOB SUMMARY (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Receive, unpack, inspect, verify, store and maintain all purchases.

Keep records and compile stock reports.

Prepare items for shipment.

JOB TASKS/DUTIES

Receive and verify shipments: Unload deliveries, check that the contents match the packing slip and purchase

order, and document any discrepancies or damages.

Inspect and handle goods: Visually inspect items for any damage, sort them, and prepare them for storage or

stocking.

Manage inventory: Update inventory records in a timely manner (using a scanner, paper and pen, or computer).

Perform inventory counts and audits as needed.

Store and organize: Place received items in their correct storage locations, ensuring the area remains organized

and clean.

Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.

Prepare outgoing shipments: This involves packaging items securely, creating shipping labels, and preparing

necessary paperwork.

Operate equipment: Safely operate material handling equipment like hand trucks to move goods.

Communicate and document: Communicate with other departments, vendors, or carriers to resolve issues and

maintain accurate records of all receiving activities.

Keep records of food coming in and going out. Rotate stock.

Transport foods, beverages, supplies and other items to areas of use.

Keep control & inventory of propane tanks

Direct traffic at loading dock to avoid hazards and blocking pathways.

Assure that all storage areas are locked according to club policies.

Maintain receiving and storeroom equipment in proper condition.

Wash and clean receiving area.

Participate in departmental and club training meetings.

Report all accidents, illnesses or near-miss incidents immediately to manager on duty or supervisor.

Complete other appropriate assignments made by the Chefs or Facilities Manager.
